Upcoming Rides / Events:

"TOURING 101 FOR ROAD BIKES" 180 Mile Weekend
Saturday, February 13, 2016 8:00 AM
to Monday, February 15, 2016, 8:00 PM

Rancho Cucamonga Metrolink Station
Off Milliken , Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Join us for our first Weekend Tour of the year to San Diego. This is a three day tour staying in motels and returning via Metro Link the third afternoon.
Day 1) Cucamonga to Temecula – 60 Miles
Day 2) Temecula to La Jolla Shores – 65 Miles
Day 3) La Jolla to San Diego Harbor and back to Oceanside – 55 Miles
We will return to Cucamonga Metro Link via the Metro Link in Oceanside

I will post later more information for motels in Temecula and La Jolla. Bring a friend or two to share room costs. Reserve your rooms as soon as possible.
Last year Motel 6 on Moreno in Temecula was good. There is also a Best Western in the same block.
La Jolla Cove Suites on Coast Blvd or Best Western on Fay Ave in La Jolla.
Route sheets will be posted this next week.

What is “Touring 101 for Road Bikes?” This is an opportunity for you to enjoy the slow pace of touring without needing to have a touring bike. Just a back pack with a change of clothes and necessities will do for these week end rides. We stop along the way to check out local historical sites, great cafes, take scenic pictures, and enjoy the great outdoors. We will have three organized rides this year. More info to come! John Wallace and Robert Dinger

First notice of ACT 2016

Save the date for the 2016 Annual Connection Tour, July 23 to July 29. The ACT this year will feature a selection of day rides around Napa. Each day there will be a choice of a challenging and a less challenging option.  Don and JoAnn Inglis, who are long time participants in the ACT, have offered their large property to serve as a headquarters and camp ground. For those interested in camping, it will be comfortably furnished with portable toilet and shower facilities. Set up your tent once, fill it with a plush air mattress and leave it for the week! If you are not interested in camping, Motels are available but are expensive in Napa. Rates are cheaper in nearby American Canyon, and Air BnB is an option. Rooms with our Napa friends may also be available for a lucky few. Plans are still in flux, but I wanted everyone to know what we are thinking about. Hope this helps to get everyone through what looks like a long wet winter. Hope to see you all in Napa next summer!
